Belief Unto Obedience and Obedience Until Disgrace

We believe in God unto Obedience. But how far should this Obedience go? Are we ready to obey God until Disgrace and Humility?

Mary, set an example to us through her life of belief unto obedience and obedience until disgrace.

When Angel Gabriel came to Mary to tell her to be the Mother of Jesus, she humbly accepted the Will of God. But have we ever thought of how her life in this world would have been after she accepted God’s call in her life? Joseph knew that she was pregnant even before he married her. Probably, like Joseph many others heard of this news as well. Think in our minds how we would consider a pregnant teenager. Wasn’t Mary looked upon in the same way? She may have been considered an outcast and may even have been called names. Joseph too was pressurised under the circumstance and wanted to avoid the marriage, if it had not been for the message from God.

When God calls us to accept His Will into our lives, how many times have we answered Him with a “Yes” without thinking of the consequences? How many times have we weighed the pros and cons of His glorious Will and rejected it? How many of us can be like Mary and commit to God’s Will and believe that God’s purpose in our life is beyond any disgrace and humiliation we face in this world?

We should be able to Believe in God unto Obedience; Obedience until Disgrace. For God sees our heart and will truly reward us!

Jesus, The Good Shepherd, The Great Shepherd and The Chief Shepherd

Jesus is referred to as a Good Shepherd who died for his sheep, the Great Shepherd who conforms the sheep to his image and the Chief Shepherd who will come again to reward his true sheep.

Good Shepherd - John 10:11 “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.

Great Shepherd - Hebrews 13:20 Now may the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep,

Chief Shepherd - 1 Peter 5:4 And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that will never fade away.

Jesus, The Servant King

Jesus is the Servant King!

He washed our feet to make us clean outside and He gained victory over sin to keep us clean inside.

Believe, See, Declare

There is no logic and reasoning when it comes to what Yahweh can do for you. All that you need is BELIEF.

And when you believe you also SEE things happen even when it has not yet happened and then you DECLARE it out in the open because you have seen it happen even when it has not yet happened.

Finally, when it actually happens you are not surprised because you have already seen it all happen!

This is the mystery of the power of the Lord - the secret of the wisdom and vision that He bestows upon those who continuously taste His Power and Might.

Be Blameless in God's Sight

Deuteronomy 18:10-13

Let no one be found among you who sacrifices their son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead. Anyone who does these things is detestable to the Lord; because of these same detestable practices the Lord your God will drive out those nations before you.

You must be blameless before the Lord your God.

Walk by Faith and Not by Sight

We walk by faith and not by sight. We should be prisoners of our hope. The answer to our prayers are much closer than we think. Now is not the time to give up. We may feel that we have ventured out too long and yet our destination is too far away.

God is telling you today not to give up now. You feel that you are so tired of waiting because the evil one knows that the answers from God are just around the corner and he doesn't want us to reach it.

Proclaim to the Lord that you receive what you believe. That you are a prisoner of the hope that God has given you. Keep strong in faith in the Lord and you will see it.

Be Ready To Accept Change and to Accept God's Call For You

Want to focus today on the example set by the Apostle Andrew. Andrew was first a disciple of John the Baptist whose testimony led him to believe in the Messiah, Jesus. He was quick to recognize Jesus and introduce Him to his brother Peter. He was also sure that Jesus could perform great things and hence was eager to introduce the boy with... the loaf and fish. He was also one of the disciples who told Jesus of the Greeks searching for him. Andrew thus believed in his ministry. His ministry was to bring others into the presence of Jesus.

Andrew was one of the closest disciple of John the Baptist and probably was being trained by John to do greater things. But when he became one of Jesus' disciple, though he became one of the Twelve, he wasn't chosen by Jesus to be a part of the Inner Circle of Three to witness the raising up of Jairus' daughter, the Transfiguration and for the prayer at Garden of Gethsemane.

But Andrew did not complain. He believed in God's plan for the others and God's plan for him. He was ready to accept change and move forward with his ministry of bringing people to Jesus, unlike some of the other disciples of John the Baptist who were still confused at Jesus' preaching. They couldn't accept change and probably took a long time to realize their call from God.

What God has in store for you is not what you have planned for yourself. Accept the change God brings in your life and listen to His call.
